Jump start your career! Argosy Casino is offering a FREE table games dealer training! This table games dealer program is to provide the necessary skills for candidates to be able to begin their career in the gaming industry. Upon successful completion of the table games dealer school, you will have the opportunity to audition for employment at Argosy Casino as a Part-Time Dealer. Completion of the course does not guarantee employment nor does acceptance to the program guarantee a position with Argosy Casino.

This dealer school will be held on May 13th – May 30th located at Argosy Casino . The class schedule will run from Monday – Thursday, 7pm – 11pm. This training is a mandatory 3-week program, candidates must be able to attend all days and times. Free of charge and taught by Argosy’s experienced and licensed instructors. Argosy Casino Riverside is located at 777 Northwest Argosy Parkway Riverside, Missouri 64150.

Your daily responsibilities include

Role Responsibilities of Table Games Dealer Training School:

  • Must be 21 years of age.

  • Interviews, basic math test, and gaming chips test will be administered prior to acceptance to school.

  • Classes will be held Monday – Thursday. The training will be from 7pm – 11pm. Times and days are subject to change

  • Must be able to attend all days and times of the training.

  • Acceptance into dealer school does not guarantee you a position with Table Games. You must successfully complete the training and pass an audition.

  • Training is a nonpaid school, participation is voluntary, students will not be compensated to attend.

Role Responsibilities of a Table Games Dealer:

  • Must convert all cash transactions into cheque.

  • Check the layout to ensure that the betting is not over the table limit or under the minimum.

  • Shuffle and deal cards.

  • Pay winning bets and collect losing bets.

  • Remain aware of the amount that people are betting.

  • Total hands quickly and accurately always remembering what the dealer has.

  • Notify Table Games management of any irregularities.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Must be able to successfully complete an audition displaying adequate Table Games dealing skills

  • Must be fast and accurate in handling cash

  • Six months experience in customer service field preferred

  • Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations when determining winners and losers and collecting and paying out bets

  • Must possess good manual dexterity for quick and accurate handling of chips, cards and money

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
