Penn Interactive (PI) is a real-money interactive gaming company headquartered in Philadelphia. As the digital arm to Penn National Gaming (NASDAQ: PENN), the largest regional casino operator in the U.S., we are poised for fast-paced growth in the sports betting and online casino space and are looking for a Scrum Master to join our expanding Barstool Sportsbook team!
The Scrum Master willchampion PI’sAgile delivery process and support scrum practices, remove impediments, and provideAgileexpertise for multiple Sportsbook teams. This role will provide strategic planning support and tactical execution management,Agile release planning, process and tool design and support, and resource management administration.
Your daily responsibilities include
Facilitate scrum ceremonies, including daily scrums, backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective, ensuring full team engagement
Encourage and support iterative and collaborative development, favoring people over process
Lead, track and report onAgilereleases through the PIAgiledelivery process, from sprint planning through sprint retrospectives
Create, maintain and disseminateAgilerelease plans, sprint commitments, sprint deliverables, and insights to stakeholders
Reinforce and build upon a collaborative team culture that empowers and elevates each team member
Build high performing Agile sprint teams, focusing on continuous improvement, continuous integration, continuous development and delivering value to the customer
Define, provide and interpretAgilemetrics to effectively plan and track sprint commitments and delivery
Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and facilitate trade off decisions, and help balance the business needs versus technical constraints
Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues, risks, and impediments at multiple levels
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Must have 2-4 years of experience with large, complexAgilereleases, projects and programs in large organizations with cross-portfolio interdependencies and resource demands.
Must have a proven track record of simultaneously managing multiple sprint teams with shared and different backlogs, sprints, and releases
Ability to listen, analyze, influence, negotiate and use judgment to solve complex issues in order to accomplish project goals
Strong passion for Agile frameworks and guiding development teams to higher Scrum maturity.
Experience withAgilemanagement tools including JIRA, Rally, similar toolsets, includingAgilemetrics and reporting
Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
