Penn National Gaming Product Manager in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania


Penn Interactive (PI) is a real-money interactive gaming company headquartered in Philadelphia. As the digital arm to Penn National Gaming (NASDAQ: PENN), the largest regional casino operator in the U.S., we are poised for fast-paced growth in the sports betting and online casino space. We are are looking for a Product Manager to join our Barstool Sportsbook team. As a Product Manager you will own features of the platform and take responsibility for the successful design, development, and deployment of those features. You will help define the roadmap by digging into the sports betting space and becoming an expert on what will invigorate current users and inspire new ones.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Define a well-researched, long-term vision for core aspects of the Sportsbook platform

  • Become a subject matter expert on Sportsbook features

  • Understand user wants and needs through research, persona development, and user testing

  • Study the competitive landscape to understand industry best practices and areas for improvement

  • Challenge the status quo of the industry by thinking outside of the box about new features and implementation

  • Carefully breakdown larger strategies into well-defined, detailed product requirements and create Product Feature Specifications

  • Work closely with designers and engineers in an agile environment to ensure successful execution of the roadmap

  • Write user stories and prioritize backlogs based on the Sportsbook roadmap

  • Collaborate with cross functional business teams to ensure successful product launches.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • At least 4 years of product management experience

  • Self-starter with the ability to take ownership and be accountable for deliverables

  • Ability to understand and delve holistically into a product while also being able to break down features and set priorities

  • Experience working with senior stakeholders

  • Experience working with third parties

  • Experience working with and inspiring engineering teams

  • Experience managing the entire product lifecycle

  • Familiarity with an Agile development process and driving the product roadmap

  • Knowledge of Agile tools, like Jira or Trello

  • Good communication skills along with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams

  • Strong ability to translate product needs to technology/engineering and the business

  • Ability to concisely summarize complex issues and make clear, compelling recommendations

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and thrive in fast-paced environments

  • Strong problem-solving abilities; you can cut through the noise and laser focus on what really matters

  • You are data-driven and consistently leverage data to make decisions

  • Passion for technology, sports, gaming/casinos, or all of the above

  • Four-year college degree preferred, but not required
