Your daily responsibilities include

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Responsible for supervising staff and the overall daily management of the Service Center Accounts Payable department. Develops, implements and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.

  • Provide analytical support, guidance and recommendations on Key Accounts Payable operational metrics

  • Investigates and solves variances with accounts payable trial balances and other reconciliations.

  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.

  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

  • Help foster a continuous process improvement environment in Accounts Payable

  • Evaluate current P2P processes and recommend changes to create efficiencies

  • Liaison with property Finance team on AP issues and opportunities

  • Monitors compliance to key overall AP department performance measures. Offers feedback and implements recommended changes to improve processes.

  • Maintains strong supplier relations in the areas that you are assigned to

  • Works hand in hand with Sourcing and the General ledger teams to proactively identify and correct accounting and supplier issues. Develops root cause analyses to solve issues long term.

  • Assists in planning and the implementation for the new Oracle cloud financial integration.

  • Assists in planning and implementation for the new consolidated shared service for the department.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate’s Degree (A.A.) in Accounting or other related field; or two or more years of experience supervising an accounting or AP team. Experience with multi-unit company preferred.

  • Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Must have strong analytical skills.

· Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, and Word). Knowledge of Coupa or other purchasing management systems highly preferred.

  • Must have database querying ability.

  • Must have strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  • Must have strong organization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
