Your daily responsibilities include
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
Responsible for supervising and managing staff in the Entertainment department, to include front and back of house operations. Develops, implements and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives in defined areas.
Create effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.
Responsible for assisting in the budget and P&L process for the department and provide recommendations, ensuring compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager.
Analyze financial and show trends, offer suggestions and implement varying degrees of show discounts, offers and up-sell products.
Research and suggest ways to optimize the ticketing system and marketing efforts for all acts.
Negotiate deals, prepare contracts and manage Third party vendors and wholesale brokers.
Act as show/act liaison for hotel; Build strong relationships with all acts and performers on property
Approval of settlements for venue specific shows
Ability to negotiate terms, financials, availability, riders, and more with agents, producers, artists, management.
Prepare and distribute entertainment calendars to appropriate parties.
Maintain room requests and confirmations for various shows
Submittal of lounge and other third-party bills to Accounts payable for processing. Approval of invoices.
Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise. Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals.
Enhance guest interactions by providing a friendly greeting, offering directions, answering questions, making announcements, and creating an upbeat and positive atmosphere.
Ensures all guest’s questions and concerns are addressed immediately, either personally, or by contacting the appropriate department, supervisor, or member of management, to obtain the answer to the question, or obtain assistance in resolving the concern. Owns the situation until the situation is resolved, or the guest is in direct contact with the Team Member who will resolve the situation.
Oversees Medallia scores and provides improvement opportunities for the Entertainment Department.
Ensures Hilton Honors members are recognized according to their tier status within the Tropicana Theater.
Assist with Food and Beverage/Entertainment initiatives.
Work with productions to ensure signage is updated in, and around the Theater and Merchandise area.
Maintain audio/visual inventory and update with status reports.
Create and submit POs/IOs for rentals, repairs, and purchases of Theater equipment as needed.
Payroll duties to include breaking down team member hours into appropriate departments, proper coding, submitting, and signing off.
Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to Executive Management / GM.
Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
Responsible for the overall experience of patrons, thecleaning of the public spaces and any artwork or advertisements that are on display.

Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university, 5 years experience working in or around theatrical productions; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Proven managerial and critical thinking skills required.
Must possess excellent employee relations skills.
Good oral and written communication skills must be fluent and literate in English.
Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when required.
Ability to work collaboratively with vendors/production companies to complete department initiatives and effective day to day operations.
Willingness and ability to work flexible and extended hours.
This job has supervisory responsibilities.
Responsible for staff development and training programs.
Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance.
Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs.
Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling).
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
