Your daily responsibilities include

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following is based on multi-property duties and responsibilities and other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Route non-PO invoices to departments with proper GL coding through DocuWare for approval.

  • Review and verify batches for Stratton Warren PO invoices and post to AP system.

  • Prepare weekly AP check run, verify all discounts are received and taken.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and request any missing invoices.

  • Assist vendors and departments with inquiries regarding issues of payment.

  • Close and balance accounts payable system monthly.

  • Assist with annual 1099 filing.

  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.

  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Minimum six months previous experience in finance/accounts payable.

  • Ability to perform basic and intermediate math.

  • Ability to operate a 10 Key.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).

  • Knowledge of accounting computer systems and software programs

  • Knowledge of general ledger coding and understanding of the theory of account codes

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
