The Room Service Cashier is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer. The Room Service Cashier is also responsible for performing all sales transactions in assigned food outlets, which could be either front or back of the house.
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
Responsible for the pick‑up, count down, and return of cash bank from room service charges.
Completes all paperwork for room service in an organized manner.
Acknowledges guests’ requests in a friendly, courteous manner and answers inquiries before completing sales transactions, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Maintains accurate cash balance and handles money in a secure manner according to established standards.
Handles forms and equipment necessary to complete settlement of credit cards, coupons, and room charges.
Answers telephones and handles guest inquiries in person or by telephone.
Responsible for learning and being familiar with all of Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc.’s room outlets, cashier functions, and for being able to answer general questions regarding the property.
Checks all supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
Responsible for the security and accuracy of assigned bank and is accountable for any and all overages and shortages.
Assists with overall room functions and providing out customer comment cards as required.

Ability to use a cash register.
Ability to distinguish between different denominations of currency and make correct change.
Ability to read ticket totals, total up credit vouchers, and log checks.
Ability to restock needed materials and retrieve dropped items.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of employees.
Ability to effectively and efficiently move around all work areas.
This position operates in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke, the severity of which depends on customer volume.
Basic mathematical skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
These skills and abilities are typically acquired through six months of on-the-job training or through related experience.
