Your daily responsibilities include

The incumbent in this position is responsible for developing an environment that creates excitement for guests and employees, promoting and retaining a highly skilled work force. The incumbent is also responsible for the oversight, development, management and implementation of relationship marketing strategies and programs to achieve property goals and objectives. Appropriately collaborates and utilizes the shared services direct marketing team to create and execute all relationship marketing programs to positively impact customer loyalty, retention and reactivation. Evaluates marketing strategies and provides recommendations for improvements. Responsible for expense forecasting, reporting and budget management.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • Reviews strengths and weaknesses of all department programs in order to most effectively implement changes to improve operations and most efficiently allocate resources.

  • Consults, communicates and collaborates with the shared services direct marketing team and property Planning and Analysis team. The incumbent is responsible for evaluating performance of programs by analyzing and interpreting data and reports in order to improve operations and most efficiently allocate resources. Primary contact for communicating and informing the shared services team of property information and insights.

  • Researches database information to identify customer demographics, and behavioral analysis; consults with management on methods of targeting, developing and informing guests.

  • Develops and/or assists on the development of all departmental Proformas and Postformas associated with promotions, events and entertainment.

  • Directs long and short term planning for all functions of the department including analysis of product and market opportunities, program effectiveness and development of strategies to ensure adequate level of guest satisfaction and achievement of established market share goals.

  • Establishes department standards, guidelines and objectives and maintains other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning, and efficient and effective operation of assigned areas.

  • Develops and monitors property research and surveys activities; evaluates results and related reports to improve efficiency and effectiveness of programs.

  • Hires, trains, motivates, evaluates, and manages direct reports to ensure that employees receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.

  • Composes copy and coupon matrix for all direct mail. Ensuring that all necessary approvals are obtained. Ensures that all departments are informed and copied on all final direct mail pieces.

  • Directs and oversees the property market competitive shop programs which includes coordinating shoppers, defining the standard procedures and partnering with Planning and Analysis on the analysis.

  • Responsible for direct mail budgets and forecasting. Works with Planning and Analysis and Marketing Managers regularly on general marketing forecasts. Assists in the development and execution of the yearly budget, budget forecasting and marketing plans.

  • Participates in numerous operational meetings to contribute a marketing perspective to issues.

  • Provides periodic and “as needed” reports to administration regarding marketing programs.


  • Must be knowledgeable of marketing concepts and strategies.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, outside contacts, and all levels of employees.

  • Working experience with variable data through print and e-marketing.

  • Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to player tracking computer system, software/programs, and other devices.

  • Ability to review and comprehend reports and all other necessary documentation.

  • Ability to observe and direct actions of subordinates.


  • Knowledge of, and experience in creating, developing, and implementing direct marketing strategies.

  • Strong written and communication skills.

  • Understanding of data base management and systems.

  • Experience with player tracking or hospitality system and spreadsheet applications.

  • Familiarity with current analytic tools required.

  • This knowledge and these skills are typically acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field. In addition, five to seven years experience in the gaming industry, preferred.
