Penn National Gaming Slot Technician - Full-Time in Joliet, Illinois

Your daily responsibilities include

SUMMARY

Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical devices on electronic gaming machines, kiosk machines and signage. Exercise good judgment to determine whether to repair or replace malfunctioning parts of a slot machine following standard procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position is responsible for providing a high level of guest service and promoting a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for our guests and Cast members.

  • Respond to calls for assistance, troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical malfunctions.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on slot machines as directed.

  • Assist slot supervision in the resolution of guest disputes regarding malfunctioning equipment.

  • Clean slot machines and area as directed.

  • Diagnose repair and program progressive signs

  • Diagnose and repair electronic components or wiring problems.

  • Assist in the relocation or installation of equipment.

  • Test and debug equipment functioning following maintenance work in the company of an Illinois Gaming Board representative.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, and team lift 400 pounds

  • Other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Some training in electrical/electronics, and an ability to work with hands. One – two years of electrical/electronic training and or work experience is preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age. This position is responsible for providing a high level of guest service and promoting a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for our guests and Cast members. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Must understand and speak the English language.
