Your daily responsibilities include

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acknowledge the guest with a friendly greeting in a timely manner.

  • Obtains beverage and/or food orders. Initiates conversation with guests.

  • Expedites food and drink orders for each party quickly and accurately. Serves refills and follows up for additional food and beverage requirements.

  • Keeps tables neat and orderly by bussing as you go.

  • Adheres to all responsible alcohol serving requirements as dictated by the state and Zia Park policies.

  • Requests identification from guests ordering alcohol.

  • Anticipates guest needs when possible.

  • Communicates with supervisor regarding guest requests.

  • Completes end of shift checkout and paperwork according to preset standards.

  • Complete assigned opening and closing side work.

  • Provides Marquee Service to every patron and employee.

  • Perform duties in a safe manner; reports any potential safety hazards to management.

  • May be required to answer questions when a supervisor is not available.

  • Must work well under pressure, and meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.

  • Adhere to all corporate and local policies, procedures, and operating guidelines.

  • Must at all times demonstrate ethical and cooperative behavior with guests, co-workers and leadership.

  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Must be a minimum of 19 years of age.

  • High school diploma or G.E.D preferred.

  • 6 months or more relevant experience required.

  • Must qualify for certification through NMAST.

  • Knowledge of beer, spirits, wine, mixed cocktails.

  • Basic math skill is required, ability to handle cash and accurately make change.

  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards.

  • Work varied shifts, which will include day/evening shifts, weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to read, write and speak English required.

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are required.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and to promote cooperative approach between departments.

  • Ability to work unsupervised.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and standing for long periods of time.

  • Frequent lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store or move materials, supplies and equipment. Occasional lifting and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee mostly works inside the building. The employee is regularly exposed to airborne particles, toxic fumes and/or chemicals.
