Your daily responsibilities include

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Ensures all the hotel public areas are cleaned and maintained during their shift.

  • Assists guest room attendants and other housekeeping team members with supply and linen requests.

  • Assists deep cleaning team with operating shampooer, high dusting, and cleaning of rooms when needed.

  • Supplies utility closets with all amenities and linens.

  • Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.

  • Cleans all windows and mirrors, dusts, and sanitizes bathrooms in common areas.

  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.

  • Vacuums and cleans carpeted areas and behind furniture.

  • Assures that every area is clean and everything is in proper working order.

  • Cleans and maintains his/her workstation, including stocking workstation with sheets, pillowcases, towels and all amenities.

  • Ensures all linens and towels are without defect.

  • Properly makes hotel beds, dusts all room surfaces, and cleans bathrooms, mirrors, and bathtubs according to established guidelines.

  • Completes daily housekeeping reports, if necessary.

  • Picks up patrons at a variety of locations included but not limited to local airport, hotels, and transports them to the Casino as needed.

  • Lifts a variety of items into the van such as wheelchairs, walkers, luggage, etc.

  • Oversee safe customer entry and exit from van: provides crowd control, directs traffic as needed.

  • Works as a team with other Team Members.

  • Properly reports and turns in all lost and found items.

  • Reports all safety hazards or maintenance deficiencies to Manager.

  • Maintains and cleans all equipment used throughout the course of a shift.

  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.

  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High school diploma or GED required; one year of related housekeeping experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must have effective communications skills (verbal and written).

  • Ability to maintain professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to department and company standards.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to work in a high-volume environment.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

  • Must be able to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

Must successfully complete C.A.R.E or TIPS training.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
