Your daily responsibilities include

Major Job Duties:

Duties include, but are not limited to the following.

  • Assit with schedule and maintain all Security activities. Make assignments at the beginning of each shift.

  • Inspect all officers on shift for appearance (uniform and grooming) and equipment and correct deficiencies when observed.

  • Make recommendations to Shift Manager on hire/termination of assigned security officers.

  • Observe, superivse and instruct assigned shift security officers in the performance of their duties.

  • Continually evaluate job performance.

  • Brief relieving Shift Manager on all incidents during the shift.

  • Supervise and conduct on-the-job training for all new officers assigned to the shift.

  • Check to ensure that a proper written log is maintained at the Security booth.

  • Maintain follow-up to ensure adherencce to schedules and work standards.

  • Assist and direct other Shift personnel during fire alarms and other emergency situations to ensure that all procedures are adhered to.

  • Present self in a professional manner at all times.

  • Must provide friendly and courteous service to all guests, staff and co-workers.

  • Performs related work as requested.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

Experience:

  • 3-5 years Hotel/Casino security experience with some supervisory preferred. Must be employed at property for a minimum of 1 year in a security position.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Full Knowledge and understanding of all hotel/casino and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.

  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.

Certificate/License:

  • Gaming Registration, First Aid, AED, CPR, Alcohol Awareness card, Valid Nevada driver's license.
