POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Specialist (VIP) is responsible for coordinating, overseeing and executing various projects within the Player Development Department. The Specialist is also responsible for serving as the main contact at M Resort for the coordination of customer visits from Branch Offices, Independent Agents, other Penn Gaming Markets and Outbound Sales teams.

Your daily responsibilities include

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Coordinates various events and other cross marketing opportunities with properties and partnerships

  • Acts as liaison between property personnel and Independent Agents ensuring communication is provided as needed

  • Oversees compliance and licensing coordination for the Independent Agent program

  • Manages the coordination of transportation for Independent Agent program to include scheduling, criteria, and block maintenance

  • Administrates the payment of Independent Agent commissions

  • Provides support for Branch Office administration to include creation of newsletters and collateral, creation of monthly production reporting and allocation

  • Facilitates booking and tracking of VIP and Outbound Sales Cross Property guest trips to M Resort.

  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.

  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.

  • This position may require travel

  • Performs all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.

  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates degree (A.A.) in marketing, finance or related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum Three (3) years of related experience required, preferably in Casino Marketing.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

  • Technical proficiency & knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook). Salesforce experience a plus.

  • Strong client interface and presentation skills preferred.

  • Ability tofollow verbal and written directionand drive toward results.

  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.

  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

  • Strong understanding of gaming industry, special events and entertainment related activities helpful.

  • Independently initiates, follows up, and completes assignments on time and on budget.

  • Ability to interface professionally with casino customers, business contacts and internal departments.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use good judgment and tact.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
