Your daily responsibilities include
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
Keeps work area clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter.
Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
Attends to guests in pool area, cabanas, daybeds and lounge chairs ensuring memorable visit for the guests.
Responsible for creating daily LSA’s rotation sheet accounting for all necessary zone coverages and lunch breaks.
Responsible for ensuring all LSA’s have been given a proper pre-shift.
Must ensure all Lifeguard equipment is out prior to opening (i.e. back boards, ADA lift uncovered, etc.)
Daily roaming to ensure LSA standards are kept throughout the M Pool as well as DayDream when open.
Maintains open lines of communication with management and security to ensure service standards and safety standards are kept up at all times.
Ensures all lifeguards are following the correct rotation and not deviating from assignment without approval or direction to do so.
check chemical levels and ensure levels match Health Department standards
Responds to all situations safely and promptly.
Maintains cleanliness on the pool deck area by removing of any cups, trash and towels regularly.
Ensures all guest area is stocked with towels and supplies.
Opens and/or closes the pool area appropriately coordinating set up and break down with pool management
Performs other job-related duties as assigned

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or GED; one year of experience as a lifeguard and/or pool attendant; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints, with particular attention to detail.
Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills and good public relations skills with a good personality, enjoying opportunities to work with and assist people.
Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to deal effectively with guests, management, vendors and employees while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Must be able to withstand extreme sun & heat, cold, and inclement weather for long periods of time throughout the day.
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
Required to obtain Lifeguard and CPR Certification from the American Red Cross.
