Your daily responsibilities include

MAJOR JOB DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Handle all aspects of Convention Services related duties such as but not limited to: meeting set ups, food and beverage needs, production details, transportation arrangements, sleeping room blocks and floor plans

  • Create, execute and oversee Catering events including: generate contracts, create menu proposals, set up needs, site visits and tastings.

  • Coordinate with outside vendors to ensure proper planning and execution of events (audio visual equipment, flowers, dance floors, tables, chairs, etc.).

  • Must provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and staff and develop strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business

  • Must be extremely organized in order to handle many clients simultaneously

  • Perform related work as requested

  • Delphi FDC knowledge an asset

  • Delphi Diagrams knowledge an asset

  • Develop potential business leads as well as actively pursue new business through cold calls and/or visits to local business and sales contacts

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

EXPERIENCE : 2 yearsrelated experience

EDUCATION : High School diploma or equivalent.

SKILLS: Excellent communication, organization and people skills. Be knowledgeable in the area of Food and Beverage menus and banquet setups, and maintain a study of these. Ability to perform basic math. Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident and well groomed manner. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with guests and staff. Full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies and procedures. Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English. Ability to assistDirector of Catering and Conference Services in all areas of operations.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE : Clark County Health Card. Alcohol Awareness card.
