An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Maintain all payroll updates and changes in payroll system.

  • Distributes and data entry of timesheets for all Penn National Race Course facilities

  • Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.

  • Produce and distribute payroll checks.

  • Produce and distribution of payroll reports.

  • Verify and maintain reported tips spreadsheet. Calculate allocated tips.

  • Produce and distribute check requests for wage garnishments, child support orders and miscellaneous payroll payments.

  • Complete Employment verification requests.

  • Complete and fax unemployment requests.

  • Maintain spreadsheet for payroll bank account debits and credits.

  • Produce end of month payroll accruals and journal entries.

  • Produce quarterly payroll tax reports and payments and end of year reconciliations.

  • Typing and faxing payroll correspondence.

  • Answer payroll inquiries.

  • Assist Human Resources Representative when required.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)

  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
