An individual could be successful if they possess the following.
Your daily responsibilities include
Prepares and finishes pastry products for restaurants and banquets according to standard recipes and as specified by requisition to the various outlets in order to assist in reaching profitability, guest satisfaction, workforce strength and compliance goals.
Prepare, bake and finish cakes, pies, French Pastries, creams tarts and other dessert items according to recipe and presentation specifications.
Prepare requisitions for food product for following day's production.
Prepare dessert displays for restaurants and banquet as per production sheets.
Dish ice cream and other pastry items for banquets as per production sheets.
Prepare requisitions for items for storeroom for Pastry Chef's approval.
Maintain clean and sanitary work station within ServSafe and Hollywood Casino guidelines.
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 2-3 years of culinary experience .
Must have the ability to read, write and speak English.
Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and manuals.
Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret various metrics.
Must have the ability to perform basic math skills.
Must have the ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply concepts to practical situations.
Must have the ability to identify problems, collect data, analyze, and draw valid conclusions.
Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions (i.e., written, oral, etc.)
Must qualify for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meet any credentialing requirements of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
Working events on the casino floor will require an individual to obtain a non-gaming credential.
