Penn National Gaming Horseman's Bookkeeper - Full Time in Grantville, Pennsylvania

An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Maintain records of all financial transactions for owners and jockey accounts

  • Accept all check requests, print and distribute all checks

  • Complete Jockey payroll, print and distribute all checks

  • Enter race results for each race including jockey or owner changes, scratches, double jockey mounts, PA bonus money for jockeys and claims

  • Record and update all accounts nightly

  • Handle end of month reports including photographer, Teleview, Pa. Breeders, Jockey Guild, special requested statements and all account summaries, issue checks if required

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • High School Diploma/GED; 0-6 months of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests and regulatory agencies

  • Must have the ability to perform basic math skills

  • Must have the ability to identify problems, collect data, analyze, and draw valid conclusions

  • Basic Computer knowledge; MS Office; Encompass Software

  • Must qualify for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meet any credentialing requirements of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
