Your daily responsibilities include
Perform the operational duties assigned by Executive Steward & Assist Exec Steward
Ability to trouble-shoot, and train others, when necessary, on MMS equipment
Maintain working knowledge of kitchen equipment and procedures
Perform all team members job functions when necessary
Ensure all daily scheduled banquet functions have required utensils, china, glass as designated by assigned Banquet Event Order
Participate in creating Food & Beverage Department policies and procedures with the ability to communicate, coach & counsel team members, when necessary
Educate, train, and manage Food & Beverage team members to follow policies and standards. Develop highly skilled successful team members, set realistic and measurable service standards
Visual inspection of environment to ensure all F&B departments comply to Health Department Standards
Will be ServSafe certified to ensure safe and sanitary standards are met
Report any and all unusual activity to the Food & Beverage Manager
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set
High School Diploma/GED; 1-2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests
Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and manuals
Must have the ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply concepts to practical situations
Must have the ability to identify problems, collect data, analyze, and draw valid conclusions
Basic computer knowledge; MS Office
