Your daily responsibilities include
Plan, oversee and participate in maintenance projects and activities of the facility.
Review work orders and adding work to personnel; establish priorities on repair projects; review and approve orders for materials, parts, and equipment used in repair.
Responsible for troubleshooting a wide variety of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems.
Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff.
Perform field inspections.
Assume responsibility for the entire facility in absence of the Facilities Manager and Director of Facilities by interpreting policies and procedures and making disciplinary recommendations when necessary, which will be reviewed by the Facilities Manager and Director.
Maintain a log of all operating equipment, changes in the facility status and other significant information.
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set
Will lead and direct up to 45 employees. Supervise in accomplishing goals and provide training and experience to the department. Responsible for interviewing and assists in making hiring decisions for facilities personnel.

High school education or equivalent required. Journeyman engineer status, working knowledge of boilers, chillers, and other mechanical equipment used in the facility, or 5 years related experience in the field.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral, and diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must be eligible for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission. Must possess a valid driver’s license for the state in which you reside. In addition to the pre-employment background check, this position will be subject to periodic checks of your driving record in order to determine your continued suitability to drive company and/or patron vehicles.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. This position may be exposed to adverse weather conditions.
