Your daily responsibilities include

  • Adheres to departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.

  • Responsible for serving as the “face” of the company to our guests by assisting Executive/Sales Host staff and casino floor staff in delivering comps, guest communications, and introductions.

  • Assists VIP Guests with various questions regarding their player status, offers, and benefits.

  • Assists in the administering of promotional, entertainment, and special events, including the creation of events, running of registration, communication to interdepartmental parties, event needs, etc.

  • Maintains accurate head counts in the VIP Lounge through management of the VIP Lounge desk and Lounge Swipe program.

  • Assists internal and external customers with event and promotional logistics along with utilizing customer service and problem-solving skills to understand and meet the needs of preferred customers.

  • Maintains cleanliness of VIP area by contacting other departments as needed, as well as vacuuming, dusting, watering flower displays, etc.

  • Assists VIP Lounge staff as needed (bussing, setting tables, restocking supplies, etc.); serves as support during busy season/weekends.

  • Complies with Ameristar Casino Resort and Spa’s standards, guidelines, and objectives and maintains administrative processes to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of department functions.

  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous hospitality or customer-facing service position experience preferred.

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications preferred.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.

  • Must be familiar with marketing and advertising concepts.

  • Must have strong problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.

  • Must have the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and fluctuating days off.
