Critical skill set required for this position are, light plumbing and electrical and basic handyman skills.The Level 1 Call Mechanic position is a Day Shift, with alternate grave/swing shifts as needed, although infrequent. Salary is based on experience.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • In this position, you will be the first responder to radio calls and work orders in the hotel and the casino with emphasis on repairs that are needed in guest rooms as reported by the guest.

  • In this position you will be un-clogging toilets, replacing light bulbs, repairing leaking plumbing fixtures, replacing light switches and receptacles in the guestrooms and in other areas of the property.

  • May be involved in larger projects as business levels allow.

  • May be involved with maintaining the pool and spas.

  • Working as part of a team you must be willing and able to help out in other areas of the Facilities department when needed.

  • This is a uniformed position, which requires that Team Members are in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • Must have great inter-personal skills as you will be dealing directly with our guests.

  • Must be able to work under pressure as multiple calls and work orders can received at the same time.

  • Must be able to prioritize calls and work orders.

  • Knowledge of maintaining pool and spas is desirable but not required.

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism

  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to issues

  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with Team Members at all levels of the organization

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • 1 year facilities maintenance experience in hospitality or related field

  • Knowledge of basic computer skills is preferred.

  • Must be able to perform light plumbing and electrical repairs and basic handyman skills.

  • Must be able to work alone or as part of a team.

  • Must be at least 18 years or older.
