Your daily responsibilities include

  • Demonstrating outstanding internal and external service in accordance with “Red Carpet Service” program guidelines

  • Overseeing the operations and Cast Members of the Casino Beverage department

  • Directly supervising Food & beverage Shift Managers

  • Investigating and resolving Guest and Cast Member complaints

  • Monitoring guest for signs of intoxication, intervening as needed according to established practices

  • Monitoring inventory of all beverage product

  • Spending up to 60% of total work time in front of guest and employees

  • Conducting and attending departmental and company meetings

  • Performing in alignment with all departmental and company policy and applicable laws.

  • Interviewing, hiring, training or overseeing training of Cast Members

  • Planning, scheduling assigning and direct work

  • Appraising performance

  • Rewarding and disciplining Cast Members

  • Maintaining accurate departmental records

  • Recommending improvements to efficiency

  • Recommending promotions

  • Addressing and resolving guest and Cast Member complaints

  • Promptly reporting and remedying any legal/compliance measures

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • College degree or equivalent work experience

  • Minimun three years direct management experience of 20 or more employees

  • Knowledge of common bartending practices, up to and including mixing drinks, serving those drinks and collecting money

  • Familiar with bar equipment and its functions

  • Understanding of the principles of service bars and stations

  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and speak English

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations, including: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, and commission; able to apply to practical situations using fractions, percentages, and problem solving

  • Ability to maintain HCA identified responsible alcohol service certification

  • Ability to maintain Food Service Manager Certificate (Illinois)

  • Ability to understand and perform duties in accordance with:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

  • Physical mobility with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 50 lbs.
