Your daily responsibilities include
Promote and maintain all steps of the Red Carpet Customer Service program with each patron and employee you come in contact with.
Effectively respond to supervisor’s requests in all areas of customer interaction and customer concerns.
Provide security to assigned area; or parking lot, maintain high visibility, handle problem situations, and watch for safety hazards.
Provide security escorts for all monetary transfers, fills, and credits.
Provide security escort as requested for jackpot winners.
Oversee customer boarding and disembarking: provide crowd control, direct traffic, check ID’s, check for oversized bags, cameras, bottles and other items not allowed on property.
Provide assistance to customers: give directions, call cabs, assist with car trouble, etc. Provide special assistance to disabled patrons, as necessary.
Assist with table and slot drops. Observe count members during the validator drop and transport/escort to count room. Provide assistance for table drop by providing drop boxes, observing the count, and securing drop boxes in the count room. Monitor all entrances and exits from count room, and vault. Maintain logs of these activities.
Serve as dispatcher. Dispatch other officers to various assignments and maintain activity log sheets. Watch and record monitors and alarms...
Write detailed reports as required for incidents involving law violations and/or violations for company policy and/or procedure.
Testify in court on behalf of the company as necessary.
Administer first aid and life support when necessary, (CPR/AED).
Occasionally, strenuous physical activity is required.
Be familiar with emergency procedures for all Argosy Casino patrons and employees, including abandon ship, fire, man overboard and bomb search.
Comply with company policies; all state and federal regulations; and internal controls as it relates to this position.
Employees may be required to perform duties outside of their normal job descriptions where, in the company’s judgment, it is necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or improved guest service.
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Effective communication (written and verbal)
Previous customer service experience
Able to handle stressful situations dealing with the general public
Ability to work in an environment, which may be noisy and/or have excessive cigarette smoke
Need tact when dealing with difficult customers
Run on level surfaces, as well as, up and down stairs
Ability to identify and quickly respond to potential problems and conflicts and defend self and others in combative situations
Ability to effectively and efficiently move around all work areas including walking and standing for long periods of time
Ability to multi tasking as required (security officers cover a wide variety of different posts and work with all departments)
Required to initiate positive interactions with guests and employees
Actively patrolling sections/floor looking for interaction opportunities, answering calls while still maintaining the ability to build relationships
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
