Your daily responsibilities include
The Human Resource Interns will gain exposure to a variety of human resource tasks.
This position reports to the HR Business Partner.
This position is given the opportunity to combine education with gained knowledge and experience to bridge the gap between academics and career in order to assist in reaching profitability, guest satisfaction and workforce strength goals.
Work rotation through HR functional areas to gain working knowledge and exposure in conjunction with the internship program requirements.
Provide guest satisfaction through acquired course knowledge and internship experience.
Conduct all interactions in a pleasant and helpful manner.
Support and develop relationships with internal and external customers with daily and weekly assigned projects.
Maintain a clean working area at all times, ensure that equipment and work materials are left in appropriate areas.
Develop an understanding of Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course's various management, technical, communication and decision making skills.
Contribute to working environment by applying coursework knowledge, present ideas and information in a concise, well-organized manner, and answer guest questions and provide solutions with a professional demeanor.
Perform job duties outside of normal job description, where in the Company's judgment, it is necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or improved guest services.

Actively pursuing an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Resources related field; at least 6 month of experience in customer service or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from regulatory agencies and community members.
Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals.
Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees.
Must have the ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to internal and external audiences.
Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
Must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Must have the ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply concepts to practical situations.
Must have the ability to identify problems, collect data, analyze, and draw valid conclusions.
Intermediate computer knowledge; MS Office.
Must qualify for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meet any credentialing requirements of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
