This position will be located in Conshohocken, PA adjacent to the train station with easy access from I-76.
Your daily responsibilities include:
Ensures the timely completion of the monthly close, including addressing any issues that may arise.
Posts monthly journal entries as well as prepare supporting work papers.
Verifies that all journal entries have been posted and performs a final review of trial balance for accuracy and completeness.
Prepares monthly binders, which includes the final trial balance, supporting work papers, and all journal entries posted, to ensure evidence of review and appropriate supporting documentation is present.
Reviews vendor invoices and employee expense reports for the appropriate levels of authorization and verify correct GL account coding.
Manages the scheduling and preparation of checks ensuring timely payments to employees and vendors on an on a routine basis.
Maintains an updated, accurate vendor database, including completed W-9 and Tax IDs
Manages filing of 1099s and other tax documents.
Assists Payroll team with payroll processing, if needed. Serves as a liaison between team members and Payroll in the event payroll related questions or concerns arise.
Ensures documentation, including appropriate sign-offs, is completed for all key controls, and coordinates all requests with internal and external auditors.
Prepares ad-hoc reporting.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for other managers.
Modifies, documents, and coordinates the accounting system and accounting control procedures.
Prepares and reviews inter-company transactions.
Prepares and reviews of standalone financial statements.
Analyzes and documents balance sheet and income statement fluctuations.
Documents and assists in the implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
Reviews the Reconciliations.
Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of assets and expenditures.
Conducts studies and submits recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operation and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
Responsible for reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and preparation of month end and adjusting journal entries.
Assists with SEC disclosure preparation.
Assists in inventory and fixed asset reconciliation.
Assists in management and implementation of capital budget within property specific guidelines.
Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Accounting or Finance from accredited four-year college or university; three to five years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CPA preferred, not required.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) required.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
Working knowledge of payroll processing preferred.
Ability to accurately prioritizes, organizes, and complete multiple tasks at once.
Must possess a high level of organizational skills.
Must be detail-oriented.
Must be able to meet deadlines and to work under the pressure of short time constraints.
Must be able to develop and maintain cordial and professional relationships with all levels of the business.
