Overview

The Sales Associate is primarily responsible for contacting prospective new location owners. They will work with the contacts at the prospective locations and liaise with PSG Marketing management to complete Use Agreements and location information sheets. The Sales Associate will assist with gathering all necessary licensing information needed and help coordinate the “go live” marketing plans for the locations. This position will be primarily focused on locations for the Chicago area route, but may include responsibility at locations across the state.

Your daily responsibilities include

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Responsible for providing guidance and daily supervision to promotions staff/function in the Marketing department. Supports and administers operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.

  • Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.

  • Develops, coordinates and executes all retail promotions, direct mail promotions, regularly scheduled entertainment acts and special events to target retail and database customerswhile supporting compliance to departmental budget.

  • Supports the efforts and projects of the VP of Marketing and/or Marketing Manager as requested.

  • Coordinates internal support related to each special event, promotion, or entertainment for all appropriate departments; coordinates with Graphic Artist/Designer to properly fulfill all printed material requirements for promotions, special events, entertainment, and VIP parties.

  • Analyzes the effectiveness and success of promotions, special events, and entertainment.

  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.

  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.

  • Must achieve or exceed sales and productivity goals. This includes generating leads, establishing new appointments and leveraging referrals to grow the business.

  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates Degree (A.A.) in marketing, finance or related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience. One year of administrative or special events/promotions experience required, preferably in Marketing

  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills; strong client interface and presentation skills preferred.

  • Must have demonstrated ability to drive toward results.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job may or may not have supervisory responsibilities.

  • Responsible for staff development and training programs.

  • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.

  • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance.

  • Provides recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs.

  • Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.

  • Provides recommendation for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling).

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
