An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

Your daily responsibilities include:

  • Provides administrative support and performs general office duties for the Executive or Senior team.

  • Prepares and types correspondence, reports, forms, charts and graphs.

  • Ensures competency of work from the standpoint of grammar, composition, and format.

  • Assists with departmental files and records as required.

  • Places, accepts and screens telephone calls and refers calls to others, as appropriate.

  • Receives, opens and distributes incoming mail and documents. Must be able to operate fax machines and photocopiers.

  • Must have the ability to operate a postage meter and ensure correct postage and date is stamped on letters and packages.

  • Ensures all outgoing packages meet courier service pick up schedules and distributes all departmental mail to supervisor and managers.

  • May wrap, register and mail packages for Gift Shop as needed.

  • Makes copies for departments as requested in a timely manner according to established quality standards.

  • Must be knowledgeable with company practice in securing airline reservations, hotel accommodations and car rentals.

  • Responsible for departmental purchasing, management/inventory of supplies and office equipment maintenance such as monthly meter readings.

  • Maintains strict confidentially of all files, communications and information

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum four years experience in a secretarial or administrative position

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)

  • Good verbal & written communication skills, must be fluent and literate in English

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

  • Capacity to work independently with minimal direction

  • Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues

  • On occasion, must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, and bright lights

  • Knowledge of the hotel/casino industry a plus

  • Successful or better performance against Performance Appraisal Standards

  • Teamwork – ability to work collaboratively within the outlet for effective day to day operations

  • Compliance with all regulatory, governmental, and safety requirement

  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment

  • Knowledge of and compliance with department, property and company policies and procedures

  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
